Barrington Academy strives to enrich the
overall well being and development of children while focusing on education.
Our teachers include plenty of hugs and cuddles along with awe inspiring
Pinnacle Curriculum, which is implemented each day. Today more and more
research confirms that children’s healthy development and success
in school is heavily influenced by their involvement in a quality
childcare program (Peisner-Feinberg
1999). Our children begin to learn and absorb at a young age, it
starts with colors and shapes and progresses to numbers and alphabets.
Our Preschoolers learn to read and write as they grow emotionally and
developmentally. Our teachers prepare every child for school in a loving,
nurturing manner.

We provide
a very safe, caring and nurturing environment for our children. Our
teachers delight in talking to each child about his or her feelings and
comfort them. They take pride in taking care of our little ones and
make it their business to learn about their individual needs.

At Barrington Academy
we have facilitated the use of Pinnacle Curriculum. Pinnacle Curriculum
is formulated according to different age groups and allows the educators
to progress at each child’s individual pace. This curriculum has
the advantage of focusing on early childhood educational philosophy that
children learn best through hands-on activities which address the needs
of the child as a whole. In addition, we combine Pinnacle curriculum with
some Creative Curriculum to provide children with a balance of Structure and
Learning through planned activities each day. Pinnacle Curriculum also
reviews state and national standards for early childhood education. We introduce
various themes throughout the year to incorporate information and
learning as a child explores and manipulates real objects and events.
